Please note, I am not currently accepting any review requests as I wind down and stop blogging by December 2019.
Many thanks.
Hi, I’m Beth and I’m a (loud and proud) bookworm. I love reading anything and everything and am pretty much open to trying anything new although I do have a bit of a fear of “chick-lit.” I’ve loved reading all my life – my mum taught me to read before I went to kindergarten and I haven’t stopped since! I’ve gone through quite a few reading “stages” in my life. When I was younger, I loved Roald Dahl and Enid Blyton then I progressed as a young adult to devouring any Point Horror or Christopher Pike I could get my hands on but I also loved The Babysitters Club and Sweet Valley High. It was when I was a teenager that I first got introduced to Stephen King who is now one of my all-time favourite authors. The first book I read of his was IT and I’m not ashamed to say it scared the bejesus out of me! Then I went through a phase where all I would read was crime and thriller fiction, especially books by the wonderful Tess Gerritsen and Karin Slaughter, who remain firm favourites today.
I’ve been blogging for six years now and I’m thoroughly enjoying meeting new people, going to literary events (like YALC in the UK) and finding gems of books that I wouldn’t normally pick up. Blogging has really expanded my horizons book wise and while I still love reading crime/thrillers I absolutely love contemporary and literary fiction and have a soft spot for YA fiction nurtured by one of my favourite people – my sister and fellow blogger Chrissi Reads. I use NetGalley and Book Bridgr like they were going out of fashion and love receiving books for review. (I think my postman hates me…) I have quite a relaxed review policy but it may take a while for me to get round to them due to my huge TBR list! Seriously, my bookshelves may collapse… but I love it.
I hope GoodReads/Amazon don’t mind that they “help me out” with a synopsis of any books reviewed, but all other parts of the review are written by me. I like to think I give an honest critique of a book and use a star rating to show level of enjoyment. If I don’t finish it, I don’t review it – simple. I don’t think it’s fair to the author (or readers!) for me to write a review of a book I didn’t complete.
Thanks for visiting today, if you’re new to my blog I look forward to chatting soon! Please feel free to contact me at bibliobeth(at)outlook(dot)com.
I love books too! Looking forward to reading more of your reviews.

Have a wonderful day!
Thank you so much for this. I don’t usually participate in the blog awards but thank you for thinking of me! 🙂
Hi. Just found your blog today via Chrissi reads. I’m a fellow bookworm and hopeful debut writer.
Always nice to meet a fellow bookworm! Thank you for following me. What kind of things do you write about? Lots of luck to you. 🙂
Hi. I have written a children’s fantasy novel set in Cambridge, UK. The Crystal cottage is a magical place, where myths and secrets lie deeply buried. Amelina is drawn to the Cottage and to a young man who she stumbles upon on the way there. The book has many opposing and intertwining themes: darkness, light, trust, deception, secrets, shadows, art, and time. Thank you so much for the good luck message and your interest. 🙂
I was just flicking about your blog and I so love your bookworms pic at the top – that’s EXACTLY the sort of logo I want on my blog! It’s brilliant – where did you get it? Or did you draw it? (I can’t draw for toffee!)
Lol, I just went to Google Images and typed in bookworm and there’s lots of pictures to choose from! Thanks very much, I love my little icon 🙂
Wow! That easy! In case it isn’t totally apparent, I’m crap with the technical side of stuff. Is your site (which imho has got the coolest design I’ve seen on a blog!) been totally done through WordPress? Or did you need to go all “web designer”? And is it worth paying for the “premium” WordPress site, or can you do plenty of customization on the basic one? Sorry for picking your brain on all this – I’m just so useless!
It’s no problem at all, happy to help! Yep, it’s completely done through WordPress and I haven’t paid for any “extras” or custom. I’d love to be able to do that side of things, but I’m not very technically minded either. I’m slowly learning though, through having this blog!
That’s good to know, because I do just love your design – plus it gives me hope I’ll get mine looking how I want it to, eventually! The only thing is, fiddling with technology loses valuable reading time!
Thank you so much that’s lovely to here! I know what you mean, there just isn’t enough time to read. 🙂
❤ Love you!
Love you more! x
I love your quote on top of the page! ❤
Thank you! When I saw it I knew it was perfect for my blog 🙂
Hey Beth! I have nominated you for the Infinity Dream Award 🙂 ❤
Thank you very much! I don’t normally do the blog awards but thank you so much for thinking of me. 🙂
You’re welcome ❤
Thought I would check out your blog!! We read all the sane books as kids then!! Ih Enid, sweet valley high ( forgot about how great they were!!) and my favourite point horror!! 👌🏻👌🏻
Aw thank you! I didn’t realise I hadn’t followed your blog, just on Twitter – I’ve rectified that now. I know, weren’t Point Horror awesome?! I had so many of them as a kid! X
Love your blog! If you ever want to do a review of an adaptation, please contact me at backtofiction.com. I am looking for guest bloggers, because I cannot cover them all.
Thank you very much! I’ll definitely let you know 😊
As a literary fiction author, I’m sorry you are snowed under and not accepting any new requests…although it sounds like a great problem to have. I’ll keep checking back to see if you have emerged from your pile and are in the market for “one of those all too rare literary gems,” according to Midwest Book Review of Life in a Box by JoDee Neathery.
Thanks JoDee, sorry I can’t help. Lots of luck with the novel. 🙂
